Financial Operational Research

Many of our students wish to work in the finance sector and Edinburgh is an excellent place for this. New regulations from the Financial Services Authority in the UK and the Basel II international rules have resulted in all large financial companies having to reassess and formalise their methods of assessing their risk exposure, and this has led to a large increase in workload. The courses in Financial Mathematics and Investment and Financial Risk Management strengthen our provision in this area. This MSc will give an Operational Research perspective on Finance.
